Longings was the second full-length album we released, again recorded and mixed at the YWAM base in Lakeside, Montana.

The band had been touring around the Northwest quite a bit, spreading the word about missions and about YWAM to area churches. What we were really doing, though, was exploring what it meant to really worship God, what it was to share the experience of worshipping Him fully with the body of Christ. We were learning as much as we were sharing… it was a time of discovery for us.

Most of the songs on this record had been played live for quite a while before we released the album… And we felt even a while after we recorded it that maybe we never really captured what it was like to be at one of these early Rend The Heavens shows. It’s one of the reasons we’ve re-recorded several of the songs from this record – we didn’t quite feel like they were given their due treatment, didn’t feel like they were quite represented well enough.

All that said, we’re still very proud of this record, and hope it brings years of life, joy, and encouragement to you if you own it! Available now only as a download from this site.
